His journey began at the young age of 11 when a severe, months-long stomach ailment was instantly cured by an elderly man using a simple native technique of “setting the navel.” Deeply inspired by this experience, Dr. Mehra spent the next six decades continuously researching and refining how precise physical pressure on specific points can stimulate the body’s internal organs and glands.

By integrating ancient Indian medical philosophy with modern anatomy and physiology, he developed what is now known as Dr. Lajpatrai Mehra’s Neurotherapy (LMNT).
